When individuals decide to invest in a skin rejuvenation process, they often don’t think about the healing time required. While some treatments allow people to immediately return to work and regular activities, others require a few days of downtime. It’s definitely something to consider ahead of time, particularly if the treatment is planned to prepare for holiday entertaining or a special event.
Fibroblast treatments are one of the most popular methods available for obtaining a younger looking visage, but not every person is a good candidate for the treatment. It’s imperative that individuals are in good health and don’t have any underlying health conditions. Those with certain skin tones are the best candidates for the treatment and it will also depend on other factors such as a tendency for freckling or hyperpigmentation.
There will be swelling and tiny scabbing that occurs following a fibroblast treatment. The swelling is temporary and the tiny scabs begin to fall off after about three days, but may take up to a week depending upon the individual. A fibroblast treatment typically requires 12 weeks of healing time for the entire process to be complete and the full effects to be seen.
The majority of the lifting and tightening of the skin occurs between weeks 6 to 8. Skin may feel tender, tingly and textured temporarily after the scab dots begin to shed. Fibroblast healing requires a full three months for the process to cycle to completion. The elastin and collagen production process actually begins at 4 weeks
Anyone with crepe-like skin will see some immediate results, though individuals will continue to see results for up to 6 months. When the treatment is performed on the body rather than the face, the scabbing often takes longer to disappear – usually around 2 weeks. New skin emerging after the treatment is often pink for a few days. In rare instances, the pink coloration can last up to 3 months.
